Founded in 1956 in the well known, traditional Galata trading district of Istanbul, as a small enterprise, our company enlarged is't volume and the number of items traded, over time and changed it's name to Istanbul Metal A.S. in 1980.
To be able to handle the expanded volume, increased number of staff and multiplied warehousing needs, the company moved to the Bayrampasa area, in the industrial zone of Istanbul, which is still today it's headquarters. At the same time, a large warehouse facility of 5000 sq.m. size has been built in the Kirac – Hadimkoy area, close to the main transit highway, connecting Turkey to Europe.
Istanbul Metal prides itself with it's reliability, high service quality and customer satisfaction, together with providing good quality material at competitive prices to the industry in Turkey and surrounding countries.
With it's long history of unparallel performance of over 50 years in the market, Istanbul Metal is one of the best known and respected companies in Turkey, in it's field. We are accredited with the ISO 9001:208 Quality Standard Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas.
